Novel technology to produce open-cell crosslinked polyolefin foams. These foams have similar properties to that of flexible polyurethanes but are based on a polyolefin matrix (PE, EVA, EBA). These foams have a low-density, high acoustic absorption, high oil absorption, and high thermal resistance. And they are isocyanate free! Possible applications include the fabrication of seats, cushions, mattresses, seals, oil absorbers, or clothes.
Disruptive technology to produce nanocellular polymers based on polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) that can be transparent and thermal insulators at the same time. The materials are characterized by displaying cell sizes in the nanoscale, low/medium densities, and tunable open cell content. Thanks to the nanopores, the thermal conductivity is reduced, the mechanical properties are enhanced, and the products can be transparent. This is a great opportunity to create breakthrough elements like transparent foamed films, and panels with high stiffness and low weight or supports for catalysts and sensors.

SpuMATe is specially formulated to enhance nucleation while keeping or even increasing the foamability of the system.
